Mahindra Scorpio-N With Automatic Transmission Becomes More Affordable With Total 8 Trims

The Z6 diesel and Z8 Select petrol were the first automatic Scorpio-N models to be released.

Those who are interested in purchasing the Mahindra Scorpio-N with an automatic gearbox have excellent news. Mahindra’s Z4 trim, which sits just above the base Z2 trim, now comes with an automatic gearbox option. This has essentially reduced the price of the Scorpio N with an automatic transmission. The Z4 trim used to only come with a 6-speed manual transmission.

A 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is now available for the Scorpio-N Z4 trim in both gasoline and diesel versions, according to the most recent update. Priced ex-showroom, the Z4 petrol automatic costs Rs 17.39 lakh, while the Z4 diesel automatic costs Rs 17.86 lakh.

The Z6 diesel and Z8 Select petrol were the first automatic Scorpio-N models to be released. They were priced ex-showroom at Rs 18.91 lakh and Rs 19.06 lakh, respectively. The new Scorpio Z4 AT variants are, in contrast, Rs 1.05 lakh and Rs 1.67 lakh less expensive, respectively.

The Z4 trim includes all the necessary comforts and more, even if it is the base Scorpio-N model. These consist of a rear spoiler, power windows, fabric upholstery, halogen headlights, LED turn indicators, steering-mounted controls, second-row AC vents, an 8-inch touchscreen, connected Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and 17-inch wheels with plastic covers.

Three-point seatbelts for every passenger, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold and descent controls, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages ensure safety.

A 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine are the two powertrain options available for the Mahindra Scorpio-N Z4. The former produces 200 horsepower and a maximum torque of 380 Nm.

The diesel mill is calibrated to generate a maximum torque of 300 Nm and 130 horsepower. In the Z4(E) type, Mahindra also provides the optional 4×4 drivetrain with oil burners. This Z4(E) diesel version is configured to generate a maximum torque of 370 Nm and 173 horsepower.

With a new Z4 AT version starting at Rs 17.39 lakh, Mahindra has made the Scorpio-N automatic more affordable. For both petrol and diesel engines, this update lowers the entry price of an automatic Scorpio-N by more than Rs 1 lakh. The Z4 trim increases cost and choice by providing powerful engine options, safety gear, and vital amenities, including an available 4×4 diesel.
