Ather Energy Announces Major Expansion Of Experience Centres In North, East, West India
Ather Energy, a Bengaluru-based company, has revealed a bold ambition to almost increase its retail presence nationwide. By the end of FY26, the firm plans to have 700 Experience Centers (ECs), which is a huge increase from its present network of 351 ECs in India and 24 centers in Nepal and Sri Lanka. The announcement follows strong demand for the Rizta, Ather’s most recent model. The Rizta, Ather’s first family-friendly scooter, was introduced and quickly became well-liked, selling over one lakh retail units in its first year.
In addition to expanding Ather’s clientele beyond its customary performance-oriented market, this achievement has greatly increased sales in important states including Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. The Rizta currently makes up around 60% of Ather’s overall sales volume, which fuels the business’s aggressive plan to expand its retail presence.

Ather Energy’s Chief Business Officer, Ravneet Singh Phokela, highlighted how the Rizta changed the company’s course for expansion. “A far wider range of family buyers have entered the Ather ecosystem as a result of Rizta’s extraordinary success, opening up new markets,” he said. “The goal of expanding to 700 Experience Centers is to stay ahead of this demand curve and make sure that our customers can easily access the complete Ather experience wherever they are.”
Ather’s original stronghold, South India, is now home to about 46% of its Experience Centers. Along with ongoing growth in the Eastern and Western regions, the company’s planned expansion will mostly concentrate on Northern markets, where it hopes to triple the number of its stores.Ather keeps investing in its entire ownership ecosystem in addition to its retail network. The company runs more than 3,578 fast-charging stations under the Ather Grid, the biggest two-wheeler fast-charging network in India, as of March 31, 2025. Additionally, it provides a wider range of service options, such as Express Care for quick maintenance and Gold Service Centers in large cities.
