Citroen Basalt, Aircross, C3 Dark Editions To Be Revealed On April 10
On April 10, the prices of the Citroen Basalt, Aircross, and C3 Dark Edition will be revealed. Another teaser for the Dark Edition cars’ interior has been revealed by the automaker. According to the most recent teaser, all Dark Edition cars will get new black leather with gray seat inserts and contrast red stitching. Additionally, a new leatherette finish with contrast red stitching will be applied to the dashboard of the Basalt and Aircross. This will be a significant improvement as the dashboard of all Citroen models in India is now made of plastic. New LED sill plates and ambient footwell lighting are also anticipated for all vehicles.
The Citroen Dark Edition cars will have a sleek black exterior paint job and dark chrome accents on the logos and grille inserts. However, it is anticipated that the three cars’ dual-tone wheels would remain unaltered. To break up the monotony of black, it is also anticipated that the contrasting silver trimmings on each car’s bumpers will remain.
It is anticipated that the Aircross, Basalt, and C3 Dark Edition models would not change mechanically. All three vehicles have a 1.2-liter normally aspirated gasoline engine with 82 horsepower or a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine with 110 horsepower; only the latter is available with an automated gearbox. It is probable that the Dark Edition versions will only be available in top Turbo configuration. The Dark Edition cars would cost between Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000 more than the trim level they are built on.
The list of SUVs with dark editions appears to be expanding steadily. There are Dark Edition versions of several models, including the Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Honda Elevate, Tata Harrier and Safari, Jeep Compass, and Mahindra Scorpio N. The most current of them is the Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition. And it’s not only SUVs; dark edition versions of the MG Comet and Toyota Hilux were also recently released. In addition to these Citroen models, a black variant of the Tata Curvv is anticipated shortly.
