In October, Ferrari is anticipated to unveil its much anticipated first electric vehicle. Benedetto Vigna, the CEO of the Italian automaker, stated that Ferrari will “reveal more of our future on 9 October at our Capital Markets Day” in a statement that accompanied the company’s 2024 financial results. He refrained from verifying specifics, though. The firm is expected to release six new models this year, including the Ferrari EV.
The vehicle is not well understood. The prototype wore the body shell of a Maserati Levante SUV, complete with even phony exhausts at the back, although a disguised test mule was spotted on Maranello streets last year. It remains to be observed if its silhouette will be equivalent to that of the Levante. Vigna told our sister newspaper, Autocar UK, that the electric prototype has already undergone thousands of kilometers of testing and will be built “the right way” to guarantee that consumers can “have a lot of fun.”

At its Maranello location, Ferrari has installed a new production line to manufacture the EV in a new E-building. Before the EV joins in 2026, this new plant will also be able to produce combustion and hybrid vehicles, starting with the Purosangue. The facility will eventually be used to manufacture electric motors, axles, and high-voltage batteries internally. Aside from the EV, Ferrari plans to introduce or launch five new cars or limited edition vehicles this year. Following the 2024 phase-out of manufacturing of the Portofino M, SF90 Stradale, 812 Superfast, and Roma, the firm is anticipated to present the SF90 and Roma follow-ups this year. In the third quarter, Ferrari will also start shipping the F80 halo hypercar, thus in the third quarter, so it seems like a busy period for the Prancing Horse brand.
Ferrari also disclosed at the financial results presentation that the 296 and SF90 hybrid model lines made up 51% of its 13,752 vehicles shipped globally last year. Revenue for the luxury automaker increased by 12%. According to our most recent information, the pricing of the Ferrari 12Cilindri in India starts at Rs 8.5 crore ex-showroom for the coupe and rises to Rs 9.15 crore for the open-top Spider variant.
