Chinese automaker BYD has recently unveiled the Yangwang U9, an all-electric supercar. The Yangwang U9, priced at $233,400 (1,680,000 yuan), is likely to make waves in the automobile segment. With this latest model, the Chinese car manufacturer is all set to compete with foreign carmakers Ferrari and Lamborghini.
BYD claims that Yangwang U9 reaches a top speed of 309.19 km/h. It can also sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.36 seconds. The supercar is also equipped with 12 sets of active and passive aerodynamic packages. It reduces drag coefficient and enhance heat dissipation efficiency. According to BYD, the Yangwang U9 is powered by two core technologies. This includes the e4 platform and the DiSus-X Intelligent Body Control System. “The e4 Platform is a power system with four independent electric motors as its core, featuring agile and precise and four-wheel independent torque output control,” said BYD in its statement.
It is worth mentioning that the Yangwang U9 packs a whopping 1,300 horsepower. It also boasts the Super Carbon-Fiber Cabin, a structure made of different materials, and next-generation CTB technology. The supercar is equipped with the DiLink150 intelligent platform, powered by customized 4nm 5G chips.
The car”s cockpit features two 14-way adjustable seats. It also has a Dynaudio Evidence Series high-end audio system. “YANGWANG redefines the essence of the supercar with its cutting-edge technologies and superior performance, offering uncompromising safety and an incomparable driving experience to users,” added the company in its statement. According to CarNewsChina, the car has an 800V architecture and can charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in 10 minutes. The Yangwang U9, which will be initially available in the Chinese market, is likely to be delivered to customers in the middle of this year.
