Ferrari 12Cilindri To Go On Sale In India Soon At Rs 8.5 Crore

With an official introduction anticipated within the next month or two and deliveries starting in the second part of the year, the Ferrari 12Cilindri will soon be available for purchase in India. Nonetheless, official India rates have been made public, and orders have been available for a while. The coupe and open-top spider versions of the Ferrari 12Cilindri start at Rs 8.5 crore (ex-showroom, India) and Rs 9.15 crore, respectively.

The latest in a long line of front-engine, two-door grand touring supercars, the Ferrari 12Cilindri is powered by a new version of the brand’s legendary naturally aspirated V12 engine. Now producing 830 horsepower, the 6.5-liter engine drives the back wheels via an 8-speed transaxle dual-clutch automatic transmission. As has been the case with the majority of its vehicles, the Italian sports car manufacturer has been able to prolong the life of its V12 engine in its most unadulterated state with this new model, without the need for electrification or turbocharging. As a result, the name itself pays homage to the engine, while the design takes inspiration from historic V12 “berlinettas,” most notably the 365 GTB/4 Daytona.

The V12-powered Aston Martin Vanquish, which is also scheduled to premiere in India next month, will compete with the Ferrari 12Cilindri. Both variants of the 12Cilindri will be offered from the beginning, in contrast to other Ferrari models where the convertible is released a few years after the coupe.

Ferrari is well-known—some may even say notorious—for having a lengthy and pricey options list that requires extra specifications for even the most basic things, but the 12Cilindri won’t have that problem in India. Dealers guarantee that the pricing will include a few basic choices, as has been the case with all previous releases. Although the details are unclear, these probably include things that Indian buyers frequently choose, like painted brake calipers, Scuderia Ferrari shields on the front fenders, and the nose lift feature. Additionally, there will probably be some basic interior trim customisation included, which should help partially offset the asking price.

Coincidentally, the asking price is less than that of the brand’s most desired SUV, the Ferrari Purosangue, which debuted in 2024 for an astounding Rs 10.5 crore. The high-tech AWD four-door, which is also powered by the naturally aspirated V12, has found some fortunate buyers in India despite extremely restricted supply, and order books are filled far into 2026.Other prospective Ferrari debuts are currently unknown, but are probably going to include the much-anticipated Ferrari EV, a new version or successor to the Roma, and a more track-focused “Speciale” or “Pista” version of the 296 GTB.
