Hyundai is set to launch the facelifted Alcazar in India this September. This mid-life update will introduce several enhancements, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology borrowed from the upcoming Creta facelift. The Alcazar facelift is going to be Hyundai’s significant launch before the Creta EV arrives early next year.

The design of the Hyundai Alcazar facelift will feature distinct styling tweaks that set it apart from the Creta. While the split headlamp design is expected to remain similar, the grille and front bumper will undergo subtle modifications. The facelifted Alcazar will sport newly designed alloy wheels and side claddings. At the rear, it will receive a completely new tailgate adorned with redesigned tail-lights incorporating both vertical and horizontal elements. These changes aim to give the Alcazar a refreshed and unique appearance while maintaining its familiar ties to the Creta.

Inside, the Alcazar facelift will boast a new-look dashboard with a twin-screen setup, mirroring the design language of the Creta facelift. This modern interior layout is expected to enhance the overall cabin experience, providing a more upscale and technologically advanced environment. The Alcazar will continue to be offered in both 6- and 7-seater configurations, catering to different customer needs.

Under the hood, the facelifted Alcazar will retain the existing powertrain options. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine will produce 160hp and 253Nm of torque. It will be available with either a 6-speed manual transmission (MT) or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). The 1.5-litre diesel engine, generating 116hp and 250Nm of torque, will also be carried forward, with transmission options including a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed automatic transmission (AT). These powertrains are designed to offer a balance of performance and fuel efficiency, catering to a wide range of driving preferences.

The Alcazar facelift is slated to be Hyundai’s new offering for the upcoming festive season, with an official launch expected in September. The current version of the Alcazar is priced between Rs 16.78 lakh and Rs 21.28 lakh (ex-showroom), and the facelifted model is anticipated to carry a higher price tag due to the added features and design enhancements. This price increase will reflect the upgraded technology and refreshed styling, positioning the Alcazar facelift as a more premium offering in its segment.

The Hyundai Alcazar facelift will bring a host of updates, including ADAS technology, design tweaks, and interior enhancements. Set to launch in September, it aims to capture the attention of SUV buyers during the festive season. With continued powertrain options and new features, the facelifted Alcazar is expected to strengthen Hyundai’s presence in the competitive SUV market.
