The entry-level Macan 4 will deliver over 400 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, the Macan Turbo claims to produce 630 hp and 833 lb-ft of torque. The base model has the capacity to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under 5 seconds, and the Macan Turbo can reach 60 miles per hour in 3.1 seconds. Porsche says that the Macan 4 accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, while the Macan Turbo can do this in 3.3 seconds. Notably, both models can achieve top speeds of 220 and 260 km/h, respectively.
The electric motors of the latest Porsche models are powered by a 100 kWh (95 kWh usable) lithium-ion battery. Notably, the battery of a Macan EV can be charged from 10 to 80 percent within approximately 21 minutes. According to the automaker, the Macan is a performance-oriented SUV with high-quality equipment and a spacious configuration. Both models have all-wheel drive and are also equipped with air suspension and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) electronic damping control. It also has the latest-generation display and operating concept, with up to three screens.
Porsche claims that it has delivered more than 800,000 Macan models worldwide since 2014. The new models will be delivered to customers during the second half of the year. “We are taking the Macan to a completely new level – with exceptional E-Performance, the new Driver Experience, and a very impressive design,” said Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG, during the world premiere in Singapore.
