The BE 6e and XEV 9e, Mahindra‘s much anticipated electric SUVs, have finally been launched in India. Both are ex-showroom, with the former costing Rs 18.9 lakh and the latter Rs 21.9 lakh. The INGLO platform serves as the foundation for the Mahindra BE 6e, and two different battery packs (59kWh and 79kWh) power the electric SUV coupe. The former develops 221bhp while the latter makes 281bhp, and the torque is the same for both, 380Nm. Mahindra claims that the bigger battery pack has an ARAI-certified range of 682 kilometres and that it can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in 20 minutes.
In terms of features, the new Mahindra BE 6e has a panoramic sunroof, two 12.3-inch floating displays, wireless phone charging, three drive modes, multi-zone temperature control, linked car technology, and an AI interface. The SUV has an ADAS suite and seven airbags for safety.

The 59kWh battery pack that generates 228 horsepower powers the Mahindra XEV 9e, an electric SUV that shares a chassis with the 6e. Mahindra states that the battery can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in 20 minutes and has an ARAI-certified range of 656 kilometres. The 9e can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.8 seconds, according to the automaker. The new Mahindra XEV 9e boasts a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a redesigned flat-bottom steering wheel, three displays, a rotary dial, and ADAS Level 2. The XEV 9e is equipped with six airbags, a 16-speaker Harman-Kardon sound system, an electronic parking brake, mobile projection, an auto park feature, and more.
