Mercedes-Benz India has revealed the costs of the EQS 450 SUV, which is comparatively less expensive. This new version, which is priced at Rs 1.28 crore, is Rs 13 lakh less expensive than the Rs 1.41 crore EQS 580 SUV.
The EQS 450 SUV has five seats, in contrast to the 580. The entry-level EQS SUV will be on display at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 alongside the Mercedes G 580 Edition One.
The Mercedes EQS 450 SUV 4Matic’s engines produce 360 horsepower and 800 Nm combined, which is less than the 7-seater’s 544 horsepower and 858 Nm. However, the two vehicles share the same 122kWh battery pack. The EQS 450 SUV has a MIDC range of 820 km, only 11 km longer than the 580.

The 5-seater is 1.4 seconds slower than the 7-seater EQS SUV, according to Mercedes’ claimed 0-100 kph pace of 6.1 seconds. Similar charging periods are also stated by the German brand: a 200kW DC fast charger will take 31 minutes to charge a battery from 10 to 80 percent, while a 22kW AC wall box charger will take 6.25 hours to charge a battery from 0 to 100 percent.
The 450 has five seats, as was already indicated, and although the front part of the cabin is identical, there is a sizable boot behind the back bench seats. The 56-inch Hyperscreen configuration, which consists of a 17.7-inch touchscreen entertainment system, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, and a front passenger screen, is part of the features list that both versions share.
Standard features include Level 2 ADAS, nine airbags, a 360-degree camera, a 15-speaker Burmester music system, a 4-zone automated climate control system, soft-close doors, puddle lights, and illuminated running boards.

On the outside, the 450 has what Mercedes refers to as the Electric Art Line and 21-inch black-painted alloy wheels. As a result, it seems less aggressive than the 580’s AMG Line trim. According to Mercedes, reservations for the base EQS SUV have already started, and delivery will begin in February.
The EQS SUV 580, which was introduced in September of last year, is now sold out, according to the brand, and the next shipment is scheduled to arrive in April.
