Mercedes-Benz CLA Electric Listed On Indian Website As A Battery-Powered Model In India
Mercedes-Benz has formally announced that the brand-new CLA Electric will go on sale in India. The battery-powered entry-level luxury vehicle has been mentioned by the German brand, suggesting that its launch is quickly approaching. The CLA Electric concept was unveiled at IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, Germany, last year, and will be offered in fully electric form for the first time.
In actuality, even if the third-generation CLA is offered in hybrid form abroad, it is probably only going to be offered in India in electric form. The CLA Electric’s powertrain is based on the new Modular Architecture (MMA) and was taken from the 2022 Vision EQXX.
Like the concept that was introduced in 2023, the CLA Electric has a futuristic appearance from all sides. It has a low-slung posture and a redesigned front fascia with an illuminated Mercedes-Benz star badge in the middle and a sealed-off snout. Its unique all-electric character is enhanced by a constellation of tiny glowing stars.
The semi-circular headlamp clusters on either side also have the recognizable three-pointed star, which is highlighted by a thin LED strip that runs across the bonnet and smoothly into the front fenders and doors. A sleek glasshouse, frameless doors, and a crisp parabolic roofline define the side profile’s elegance and cleanliness. A single, fixed glass panel on the roof adds to the contemporary attractiveness.
Echoing the design of its ICE-powered sibling, the car’s rear features a steeply slanted back window, continuing its coupe-inspired appearance. With semi-circular lighting elements, three-pointed stars, and a thin light bar that unifies the design, the rear also has a similar LED layout.
The CLA Electric’s interior adopts Mercedes-Benz’s Sensual Purity design concept, which was greatly influenced by the Vision EQXX prototype. Powered by the most recent version of the MB.OS operating system, which will make its debut with the CLA and be standard in all upcoming Mercedes models, the cabin is dominated by a full-width MBUX Superscreen that extends over the dashboard.
The brand’s most recent operating system powers the 10.25-inch driver’s display, 14.6-inch infotainment screen, and 14-inch passenger entertainment screen seen in the all-electric CLA. AI features like ChatGPT are also integrated into the most recent iteration of the MBUX system for a variety of tasks.
