Mahindra Is Drip Feeding: New Details About Upcoming BE 6e And XEV 9e

New information regarding the forthcoming BE 6e and XEV 9e has been leaked by Mahindra ahead of their formal debut on November 26. As the business did with the Thar Roxx some time ago, we can now confirm that Mahindra will also partially unveil the pricing of both SUVs on the same day. A disruptive starting price is definitely not out of the question, as Mahindra will be trying to aggressively position its first wave of born electric SUVs in the market when it finally enters the mainstream EV industry.

Recent confirmation from Mahindra said that the BE 6e and XEV 9e would have either 59kWh or 79kWh battery packs. The batteries can be charged from 20% to 80% in under 20 minutes using a 175kW DC fast charger. Depending on the application, both are anticipated to have motor outputs ranging from 231 horsepower to 286 horsepower and to have exclusively rear-wheel drive at launch. According to Mahindra, it will include a “compact three-in-one powertrain” consisting of a motor, an inverter, and a gearbox.

Regarding the next SUVs, design will be a major topic of discussion. Up until now, all teasers and spy photos have suggested that the concept-like design will also be used in production. The sharp cuts, creases, and strongly sculpted surfaces of the coupe and SUV have been maintained from their respective ideas. There will also be full-width LED DRLs on the front and rear of both SUVs, an aero-optimized alloy wheel, a dramatically flared wheel arch with gloss-black cladding, and an illuminated external logo.

The BE 6e will include two floating infotainment screens and a cockpit-like layout with a halo around the driver’s side of the cabin. Triple displays that span the width of the dashboard will be featured on the XEV 9e, which is really a version of the ICE-powered XUV700. Additionally, the two vehicles will share certain switchgear.
