Mercedes-Benz Launches New AMG C63 S E Performance As a Fully Imported CBU Model

The brand-new AMG C63 S E Performance was introduced by Mercedes-Benz in India at an astounding Rs 1.95 crore (ex-showroom). Two years after making its world premiere in September 2022, the newest sports vehicle from the German brand makes its way to India. Delivery of the C63 SE is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2025, and reservations are now being accepted. The Mercedes C-Class lineup, which also includes the C200, C220d, C300 AMG Line, and AMG C43, is topped by the C63 S E Performance. The most recent AMG vehicle to get a hybrid drivetrain is the C63 SE Performance.

With a 50mm enlarged front that provides a far more aggressive stance and an 83mm length increase over the standard C-Class, the muscular design of the C63 S E Performance sets it apart. 19-inch alloy wheels are standard on the C63, however 20-inch wheels are an option. The dimensions of the sports sedan are 1,900 mm in width, 4,841 mm in length, and 1,458 mm in height. The wheelbase is 10 mm higher at 2,875 mm. The C63 SE Performance is distinctly AMG thanks to distinctive AMG features including the renowned Panamericana grille with vertical strut and a unique bonnet air vent.

As soon as you enter the interior, the C63 SE Performance welcomes you with a variety of upholstery options, including the standard Nappa leather AMG sports seats. It also comes with a three-spoke steering wheel that is unique to AMG. Red ambient lighting and carbon fiber accents give the dashboard a high-end appearance. A 12.3-inch infotainment screen, head-up display, panoramic sunroof, a 15-speaker Burmester audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and other features are all standard since it’s a Mercedes. The new C63 SE has seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS for further safety.

Under the hood of the AMG C63 SE Performance is its greatest feature. The sports vehicle is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged gasoline engine and an electric motor that is attached to the back axle. The High-Performance Powertrains (HPP) Formula 1 engine with a 6.1 kWh battery and a 13 km all-electric driving range is the source of the hybrid system.

By itself, the IC engine generates 471 horsepower and 545 Nm, while the electric motor adds 201 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. A staggering 672 horsepower and 1020 Nm of torque are the whole peak output. This leads to a maximum speed of 280 kmph when equipped with the basic AMG Driver’s Package. It takes the performance automobile 3.4 seconds to get from 0 to 100 kmph. Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive technology distributes power to all four axles through the engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission. Even a “Drift Mode” is available. Electric, Comfort, Battery Hold, Sport, Sport+, RACE, Slippery, and Individual are the eight AMG driving modes available. Furthermore, three dampening settings are available.
