New-Gen Skoda Kodiaq Priced At Rs 46.89 Lakh, Deliveries Begin
The second generation Kodiaq was introduced by Skoda last month, following its September 2024 global debut. Skoda has priced the 2018 Kodiaq at Rs 46.89 lakh and Rs 48.69 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively, for its Laurin & Klement (L&K) and Sportline trims.
Like its predecessor, the new generation Kodiaq is put together at the Volkswagen Group’s Aurangabad, Maharashtra, factory using Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits. The luxury seven-seat SUV is currently being sent throughout India by the Czech automaker. All Skoda shops nationwide are now offering test drives for the SUV.
With its sporty trim-specific details, sleek LED Beam Crystallinium headlights, and Skoda’s iconic butterfly grille, the new Skoda Kodiaq, which was introduced in India, boasts a sophisticated exterior. The L&K version adds dark chrome accents, while the Sportline gets gloss black parts. All variants come with dual-tone alloy wheels and “4×4” badging, and the back is accessorised with a chrome-highlighted faux diffuser.
Compared to its predecessor, the SUV is now 59 mm longer. The L&K has cognac leather inside, while the Sportline has an all-black theme. The redesigned cabin layout of both trims features better ergonomics, such as a tablet holder and a repositioned gear selector.

A high-end 13-speaker Canton sound system and multicoloured ambient lights further enhance the in-cabin experience. The addition of nine airbags and Level 2 ADAS technology greatly enhances safety and driving assistance. There are six color possibilities for the 2017 Skoda Kodiaq: Velvet Red, Moon White, Magic Black, Graphite Grey, and Race Blue. The Sportline receives an exclusive Steel Grey, while the Selection L&K receives an exclusive Bronx Gold.
The second-generation Skoda Kodiaq, which is based on the MQB37 platform, is propelled by a well-known 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that produces 187 horsepower and 320 Nm of peak torque. All-wheel drive is standard on both versions, and this engine comes with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. Skoda claims that the ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of the Kodiaq is 14.86 km/l.
