Honda CB650R & CBR650R E Clutch Launched; Command A Rs 40,000 Price Rise
Honda has introduced the E-Clutch versions of the CB650R (Rs 9.60 lakh) and CBR650R (Rs 10.40 lakh) after teasing them earlier this week. Compared to their normal counterparts, both variations are Rs 40,000 more costly.
Except for its unique clutch mechanism, which enables the rider to shift gears, stop, and start from a stop without using the clutch, the Honda CB650R and CBR650R are exactly like conventional bikes. On these E-Clutch models, the clutch lever is there, and the rider has the option to switch to manual control at any time.

The same liquid-cooled, 649cc inline four-cylinder engine powers the normal CB650R and CBR650R models as well as their E-Clutch variations.
It generates 95 horsepower at 12,000 rpm and 63 Nm at 9,500 rpm. The only difference between the motorcycles is how you use the 6-speed transmission; otherwise, the ratios are the same.
The only difference between the E-Clutch motorcycles and the regular models is their weight; otherwise, the chassis and feature set are the same.
This E-Clutch system adds 2.8 kg to the total weight. Reservations are currently being accepted for the two E-Clutch Honda 650s.
The CB and CBR are offered in two colour options: black and red. The BMW R 1300 GS versions are the only motorcycles in India that now have an “assisted” clutch system, along with the CB650R and CBR650R E Clutch models.

The introduction of Honda’s CB650R and CBR650R E-Clutch models represents a major technological and riding convenience improvement.
These versions satisfy the needs of both inexperienced and seasoned riders who want flexibility by enabling clutch-free gear swaps, stops, and starts while maintaining manual control. Performance is unaffected by the little weight increase of 2.8 kg, thanks to the same sturdy 649cc inline four-cylinder engine.
The E-Clutch improves rider comfort without sacrificing the excitement of riding, especially in situations with a lot of traffic.
Honda’s dedication to innovation is evident in these versions, which are priced ₹40,000 more than the ordinary vehicles and come in eye-catching black and red colours. They are also unique in that they are among the only Indian motorcycles with this state-of-the-art “assisted” clutch mechanism.
