Despite the decline of the luxury hatchback market, Tata Motors remains committed to it with the May 22 debut of the revised 2025 Altroz. The Hyundai i20, Toyota Glanza, and Maruti Suzuki Baleno will all face competition from this updated Tata hatchback. Ahead of its formal launch, the new Altroz has been sighted testing on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

The Altroz’s rear design is visible in the most recent testing photo, despite its extensive concealment. Newly designed LED taillamps with linked LED lighting over the tailgate are standard on the 2025 Altroz. The front and rear bumpers of the hatchback have been redesigned. The rear hands are hidden within the C-pillar, as shown in the spy photo. The hatchback will get sleek door handles and new 16-inch alloy wheels. Moving on to the front, the 2025 Altroz has split headlamp style, redesigned twin-pod LED headlights, and a new front grille.

The Altroz has switches and toggle buttons, as well as the new two-spoke Tata steering with an illuminated emblem. The digital driver’s dashboard and the infotainment system are both housed in a pair of 10.25-inch monitors in the hatchback. The touchscreen on the current Altroz is 7 inches. Like the Altroz Racer, the hatchback is anticipated to include front-ventilated seats. In addition, it has an eight-speaker sound system, rear air conditioning vents, and a wireless phone charger.

With a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating, the Altroz is among the safest cars in its class. It is anticipated that the 2025 hatchback would include six airbags rather than two, height-adjustable seat belts, child seat ISOFIX anchoring, an electronic stability program, and reverse parking sensors.

Along with a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine with two power trims, a 5-speed manual gearbox, and a dual-clutch automatic transmission, the Altroz will remain the only hatchback with a diesel option. The 1.5-liter diesel only has a 5-speed transmission and generates 89 horsepower. Additionally, the hatchback will be available with CNG. The 2025 Tata Altroz blends refreshed styling, advanced tech, and enhanced safety features, aiming to reignite interest in premium hatchbacks. With multiple powertrain options, it promises versatility and strong competition in its segment.
