Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition Launched; Deliveries To Begin In Q4 2025

In India, the Mercedes-Benz G 63 Collector’s Edition is available for Rs 4.30 crores (ex-showroom). The special edition G-Class, which is limited to just 30 pieces and costs Rs 66 lakh more than the standard G 63, has India-inspired styling, a first for Mercedes in India. Delivery is scheduled to start in Q4 of 2025, and reservations have officially opened as of today.

Teams from Mercedes-Benz India and Mercedes-Benz Research & Development India have customized the G 63 Collector’s Edition. The brand claims that it is all about hyper-exclusivity and personalization, drawing inspiration from the Indian monsoon season.

In light of this, the two unique, India-specific Manufactur paint options on the G 63 Collector’s Edition stand out the most: Red Magno, which is inspired by India’s iron-rich soil, and Mid Green Magno, which is inspired by the country’s lush greenery during the monsoon season. Additionally, it receives a special finish for the side protection strip that runs the length of the SUV and a “One of Thirty” plaque on the rear spare wheel cover.

Highlights on the interior include the dashboard’s open-pore natural walnut wood trim and the seat upholstery’s two-tone, Manufactur Catalana Biege and Black Nappa leather. However, what really sets the Collector’s Edition apart is the ability for buyers to personalize the dashboard grab handle with their own name, making it genuinely unique to each owner.

The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 48V mild hybrid technology still powers the AMG G63 Collector’s Edition. It generates 585 horsepower and 850 Nm, with the mild-hybrid system adding a further 22 horsepower. The 4Matic technology transfers power to all four wheels through a 9-speed DCT automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Mercedes-Benz claims a 4.4-second 0-100 kph sprint time.

Only Mercedes’ current high-end clients will be able to purchase the G 63 Collector’s Edition. It goes without saying that the G-Class is very popular in India; even the standard G 63 has a waiting period of at least 12 to 18 months. For the discriminating G buyer, Mercedes-Benz has even set up a dedicated “G corner” at its Delhi store. The company claims that India has one of the highest rates of manufacturer customizations for the G. The brand claims that previous special edition G-Class vehicles sold out quickly, but it was only able to get a very small allotment for the G 63 Collector’s Edition. Mercedes has promised that more “India specials” based on other luxury Mercs will be available in the future.
