The vehicle owners are increasingly protesting the Centre’s rapid transition from E10 to E20. Despite the government originally planned to implement E20 petrol by 2030, the government’s rapid implementation of E20 petrol and the decision to rollout the E25 blended petrol have sparked significant outcry among the public.
The government reportedly decided to postpone the E25 rollout in a senior level meeting, which also stressed the need to scientifically address some of the genuine concerns raised by the vehicle owners. Users have flagged several purportedly genuine concerns and complaints they encountered after filling the newly introduced E20 petrol on social media platforms.
