Chartered Accountants’ Body ICAI Presents New CA Logo

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament for regulation and development of the profession of Chartered Accountants in the country, has released its new logo today.

The logo was released at the Global Professional Accountants Convention (GloPAC) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

According to ICAI, the new logo is a unique symbol that imbibes Indian values and “ICAI’s Virtue of Excellence, Independence and Integrity”.

It also said the new logo reflects the accountancy profession’s unwavering commitment towards being a partner in nation building.


Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated GloPAC convention and said the motto of ICAI “Ya Aeshu Suptaeshu Jagruti” means “a person who is awake in those that sleep” and every Chartered Accountant lives by this motto. “Ethics is non negotiable, not optional and ethics is only way out. Ethics is quintessential to your profession,” he reminded the convention.

Addressing the convention, Piyush Goyal, union minister and a chartered accountant by profession said, “India is aspiring for much larger goals and much larger outcome as we work in Amrit Kaal and Chartered Accountants have the capability and competence to evolve to the next level of the profession.”


The ICAI, functions under the administrative control of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. The ICAI, according to the body, is the largest professional body of Chartered Accountants in the world, “with a strong tradition of service to the Indian economy in public interest”.
