Lanstitut From Kerala Selected For ‘Partnering In Business With Germany’ Program
Lanstitut, a Kerala-based start-up incubated under the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), has been selected for the prestigious ‘Partnering in Business with Germany’ programme organised by the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. The firm is the only start-up from Kerala among 14 Indian companies to qualify for this foreign trade cooperation initiative.
Founded in 2020, Lanstitut specialises in connecting healthcare professionals to global job markets, offering a virtual platform with a comprehensive suite of services including language training, certification support, and job placement. The selection marks a significant milestone for the young company, positioning it to explore international collaborations and market expansion in Germany.
Lanstitut’s inclusion in the programme comes amid rising demand for healthcare workers in Germany, with an estimated 700,000 nursing positions expected to be available by 2030. The company’s services are designed to equip healthcare professionals to meet such opportunities, offering end-to-end support from language learning and exam preparation to document verification and visa processing.
CEO Khubaib Abdul Salam highlighted the broader vision of Lanstitut, noting the company’s aim to act as a bridge between local talent and international healthcare opportunities. “Lanstitut is a platform for healthcare professionals seeking highly rewarding international job opportunities, and the initiative offers a comprehensive range of services, including language learning, exam preparation, background checks, job placement in partnership with hospitals, and visa processing for immigration,” he said.
“With an estimated 700,000 nursing job openings expected in Germany alone by 2030, Lanstitut aims to equip professionals to fully take advantage of this demand. Through this program, Lanstitut will collaborate with hospitals, medical education institutions, and government agencies,” he added.
Founded by Khubaib Abdul Salam, Abdul Vahid, Murshid Rahman, and Yasin Bin Saleem, Lanstitut has steadily grown into a promising edtech force in the healthcare sector. With its recent selection for this Germany-backed initiative, the start-up is poised to deepen its international engagement while continuing to contribute to Kerala’s entrepreneurial landscape.
Co-founder Yasin Bin Saleem expressed optimism about the prospects this partnership brings. “This programme will enable us to collaborate with German hospitals, educational institutions and government agencies,” he said. “Our vision is to create a sustainable model for medical migration that benefits both professionals and healthcare systems.”
The ‘Partnering in Business with Germany’ programme is a global initiative aimed at improving foreign trade and fostering investment ties between German small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and their international counterparts. Entrepreneurs from 18 countries are eligible to apply, with around 1,800 companies admitted each year. The programme provides selected companies with access to German markets, commercial partnerships, expert advice, and a robust business network.
Lanstitut’s inclusion opens doors for valuable connections and commercial partnerships with German companies, particularly at a time when the healthcare sector faces urgent workforce shortages. The start-up is also known for delivering foreign language training in regional Indian languages, enhancing accessibility and enabling tailored learning experiences for aspiring healthcare professionals.
