The train will go for its first run on October 21 after the 17 km Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor. The priority section has five stations – Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai and Duhai Depot.
The train include features like CCTV cameras, button to communicate with the train operators and an emergency door-opening mechanisms. For the priority corridor, the train will rum up to 160 km per hour. But it is said that the operational speed of the train will be lesser.
The opposition party took a jab at the name change. Taking to social media platform X (formerly twitter), Congress General secretary, Jairam Ramesh said “there is simply no limit” to the “self obsession” harboured by the Prime Minister. Earlier a cricket stadium was also renamed after Mr. Modi.
After Namo stadium now Namo trains. There is simply no limit to his self-obsession. https://t.co/tEt6zU8h5e
