In a study by Aon, it was said that women lose an abundant number of opportunities in the workplace due to various factors. Women tend to make extra efforts to do a task meticulously as 73 per cent of women who have been a part of the survey stated that they are ready to put any effort into doing the task at the workplace. However, they have been pulled back by certain circumstances which are beyond their control.
The majority of women in the survey said that they are determined to undergo any tasks to be successful in the niche but the bias at the workplace, post-partum worries, maternity setbacks and peer pressure keep them down losing a barrage of opportunities. This has been a result of women leaving their jobs. Around 24,000 women employees across 560 companies were surveyed by the Voice of Women Study India to construe the workplace challenges and to find out the ways to curb the kerfuffle.

Women adhere to working more for the success of the company taking over the most challenging tasks and projects to enhance their skills and abilities still they confront gender bias and lose various opportunities. In the study, around 42 per cent of the professionals explained the bias that they face, while 37 per cent stated that they have experienced callous behaviour at the workplace.
Around 1,400 women (6 per cent) faced sexual harassment at least once and it is quite alarming that some of them reported this to their employer but in vain. It is indispensable that the organisation should offer a safer and more stable environment for women to work and to showcase their calibre.
Working after maternity leave and joining after a break, is the worst thing that a woman faces at the workplace. Women witness a setback in their careers making a negative impact on their payscale or else they are treated as mediocre employees given some other roles and assignments than their previous work or preference.

The data pointed out that there are positive experiences at the workplace but the gender representation is as equal as the positive experiences, it is inevitable to utilise the efforts of women and listen to their words to ensure their growth in the workplace providing minimum facilities to maximise their skills and talents, said Shilpa Khanna, associate partner and DEI leader of Talent Solutions.
