
China Greenlights Exports Of Fertilizers, Rare Earth Magnets To India
New Delhi: Melting down disagreements, India and China appear to have strengthened their trade partnership following the US’s tariff war against India. In the latest development, China has expressed its readiness to lift curbs on the export of fertilizers, rare earth magnets and minerals and tunnel boring machines to India.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is currently in India and has held talks with External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on Monday, August 18. Notably, the Chinese foreign minister has assured that China had already started responding to Indian requests to export these three items, reported The Economic Times, citing sources.

Talking about the meeting, India’s external minister said that discussions were guided by the three mutuals – mutual respect, mutual sensitivity and mutual interest.
“As we seek to move ahead from a difficult period in our ties, it needs a candid and constructive approach from both sides. “Had productive conversations on our economic and trade issues, pilgrimages, people-to-people contacts, river data sharing, border trade, connectivity and bilateral exchanges,” the minister wrote on X, while expressing confidence that the discussions would contribute to building a stable, cooperative and forward-looking relationship between India and China
