The Amal College of Advanced Studies, Nilambur made a remarkable achievement by securing an A++ grade in its second cycle of accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college’s impressive score of 3.59 out of 4, propelled it to be the top college in Malappuram district, fourth under the University of Calicut, and 12th in the entire state of Kerala.
The NAAC Peer Team, led by Dr. Krishnan Bhaskar, Director of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Manipur, had conducted a comprehensive assessment of the institution. He was supported by distinguished academicians, including Dr. Indranee Phookan Borooah, Professor of Psychology at Gauhati University, and Dr. Jaywant D. Wadate, Principal of Dhanwate National College, Nagpur.

Nearly 1,700 students are currently enrolled at the college across 12 undergraduate programs, one postgraduate program, and a research program. The college has been known for its social commitment, admitting around 350 students through the orphan quota.
This significant accomplishment now places Amal College in a league of its own, becoming the first institution to secure an A++ grade during its second round of assessment. The accolade underscores the college’s commitment to excellence in education, innovation, and inclusivity.
Amal College has consistently been in the spotlight for its diverse and impactful initiatives, including a successful student internship program in Qatar during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, its hosting of the Mega Job Fest in collaboration with the District Panchayat of Malappuram, International Festival of Heritage-IFHK and the grand Amal International Conference 2.0. Moreover, the institution has also earned a stellar reputation in sports and the arts, further enhancing its vibrant campus life.
This outstanding achievement is a testament to the visionary leadership of Chairman P.V. Abdul Wahab, MP, and Manager P.V.
