CA Exams: ICAI Announces New Dates

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or ICAI, the industry body that regulates the CA education in India, .has announced new dates for Chartered Accountant (CA) Intermediate exams. The new dates for CA exams have been announced in view of the Lok Sabha elections across India in upcoming months.

According to the new schedule , Group I Intermediate examinations will be held on May 3, 5 and 9 while the Group -II CA Intermediate exams will be held on May 11, 15 and 17.

Likewise, the CA Final Group-I exams will be held on May 2, 4 and 8 while, CA Final Group-II exams will be held on May 10, 14 and 16.

The assessment test for international taxes is scheduled for May 14 and 16, 2024.

CA Exams: ICAI Announces New Dates

The ICAI has also announced that there would be no change in the examination schedule in the event of any day of the examination schedule mentioned above, being declared a Public Holiday by the Central Government or any State Government or Local Authority.

However, the Institute has clarified that the other particulars or details as announced January 25, 2024 hosted on www.icai.org remain unchanged. “The Candidates are advised to note the above and stay in touch with the website of the Institute, www.icai.org,” the official statement from ICAI said.

Last week, the Election Commission of India, the top most national election regulator in the country, has announced the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections. The elections will kick off April 19 and the results will be announced on June 4. The Commission has also announced dates for four state Assembly elections in the country for Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
