Chartered Accountants Exam Dates Revised Due to Improved Security Situation

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced a revised schedule for the May 2025 examinations, including the Final, Intermediate, and International Taxation Assessment Test (INTT-AT) papers. This decision comes in light of improved security conditions across the country.

Originally set to take place from 9th to 14th May 2025, the exams will now be held between 16th and 24th May 2025. The revised dates for each paper are as follows:

– Final (Group II) Paper 5 (Indirect Tax Laws/INTT-AT Paper 1): Moved from 10th May (Saturday) to 16th May (Friday).
– Final (Group II) Paper 6 (Integrated Business Solutions/INTT-AT Paper 2): Shifted from 13th May (Tuesday) to 18th May (Sunday).
– Intermediate (Group II) Paper 4 (Cost & Management Accounting): Postponed from 9th May (Friday) to 20th May (Tuesday).
– Intermediate (Group II) Paper 5 (Auditing & Ethics): Rescheduled from 11th May (Sunday) to 22nd May (Thursday).
– Intermediate (Group II) Paper 6 (Financial Management & Strategic Management): Changed from 14th May (Wednesday) to 24th May (Saturday).

All exams will be conducted at the same centres and timings—2 PM to 5 PM (IST) or 2 PM to 6 PM (IST) for certain papers. Admit cards already issued will remain valid for the new dates.

Meanwhile, the Chartered Accountants Foundation exams in May 2025 will proceed as originally planned on 15th, 17th, 19th, and 21st May. The ICAI has clarified that there will be no further changes, even if any exam date coincides with a public holiday.

Candidates are advised to stay updated via the ICAI’s official website, www.icai.org, for any additional announcements.
