CBSE Class 10 Social Science Paper Was “NCERT-Based With A Few Moderate Questions”, Say Experts

CBSE Class 10 students attended the Social Science paper today. According to experts CBSE’s Social Science paper was NCERT based with a few moderate questions. Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE has conducted the examination in the morning and students have also said the paper was of “little difficulty”. The exam was held from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm today in various examination centres across India and abroad.

Timeline talked to Neeta Shukla, Minakshi Panwar and Sukhwinder Kaur Jadhav from the Social Science Department of Army Public School, Delhi Cantt., and they said this:

“Today’s Class 10 Social Science paper was NCERT-based with a few moderate questions. It was a student friendly paper, though some questions were tricky. A well prepared student can be expected to score full marks. None of the questions were out of syllabus.”

Other experts who have also reviewed the question paper said the CBSE Social Science paper “was a balanced paper and more or less based on general application of the theory, overall”.

A teacher told Hindustan Times that the objective questions were quite easy and straight forward, meanwhile, short and long answers were conceptual based and map-work was very easy.

A student, who appeared for the exam, said the MCQ was quite easy. “Case-based questions were complicated as asked on a conceptual basis. Short and long questions were tricky and quite lengthy,” he told Hindustan Times.

The Board will conduct the Mathematics paper on March 11, followed by Information Technology, Computer Applications and Artificial Intelligence papers on March 13. With that, the CBSE class 10 examinations for the year 2023-2024 will be concluded.
