Calicut University Reschedules Sixth Sem Examination
The University of Calicut has rescheduled its sixth-semester examinations to allow students to attend the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) Post Graduate (PG).
The Central University Entrance Test (CUET) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is required for admission to specific programs in participating central universities across India. This standardized test provides students nationwide with a uniform platform to seek university admission and demonstrate their academic proficiency.

Initially, the University of Calicut had scheduled the sixth-semester examinations to begin on March 20. However, as the CUET examination dates coincided with this schedule, students would have been unable to attend both exams. In response, Senate member Dr. Abida Farooqi wrote to the Vice Chancellor, highlighting the issue and requesting a rescheduling of the semester exams. The Vice Chancellor intervened, and the examination dates were subsequently revised.
Sixth Semester (CBCSS UG) April 2025 Regular Supplementary and Improvement Examinations (including Special Examinations) scheduled to be held from March 20 to 27 for Affiliated Colleges / Distance Section / Private Registration students has been rescheduled. The exams to be held on March 20, 21, 24, 25, 26 and 27 will be held on April 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 and 10 respectively. However, there is no change in exam center and time.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the date sheet for the CUET. The examination will be conducted in CBT format from March 13 to April 1, 2025. The registration for CUET (PG) – 2025, for the 2025-26 academic year was open from January 2 to February 8, 2025.
