IGNOU Extends Registration Deadline For All ODL/Online Programs

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for registration for the January 2024 admissions. The last date for “Fresh Admission”  for all programs offered in ODL/Online mode for the January 2024 session has been extended till 10th March 2024, the open university informed.

Earlier, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) marked the deadline for registration for the January 2024 admissions as February 29, 2024. Before the registration window closes, prospective students wishing to enroll in online learning (OL) or open and distance learning (ODL) programs must submit their applications via the official website, ignou.ac.in.

IGNOU will also be ending the re-register procedure for the January 2024 session without any late fees in addition to shutting the registration for new applicants.

The institution has also provided detailed information regarding filling up the application form on the university website. It informs that if candidates are first-time applicants, they are advised to click the available program tab on the homepage of the Online Admission System select the desired program, and carefully read the details of the program including eligibility criteria, fee details, duration, etc.

Candidates are also requested to download the Common Prospectus and read carefully the Rules of the University as mentioned in the Common Prospectus.

Click on the button NEW REGISTRATION that appears in the applicant login area and fill in the required registration details. It has also asked to provide candidates’ email and mobile numbers at the time of registration. Interested candidates may visit the official website to fill out the application before the last date ends.

In addition to the online courses, enrolled students may avail the scholarships from the university. Eligible students can apply for Government of India Scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal at https://scholarships.gov.in/ after confirmation of admission.

Notably, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), country’s largest open university, has introduced its four-year undergraduate programme (FYUP). The open university has come up with the FYUP during the inauguration session of the 2-Day National Seminar on “G20 Presidency and India’s Global Leadership Role.”
