IIT Delhi To Conduct Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2025 On February 2; Click Here To Know More Details

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi will conduct the Joint Admission Test (JAM) for the 2025-26 session on February 2, 2025. The detailed information will be available on the official website of JAM 2025. The registration process is expected to begin by September 2024.

The Joint Admission Test (JAM) is conducted annually for nearly 3,000 seats across 89 various postgraduate courses in 21 IITs. The programs under the JAM include MSc, MSc (Tech), MSc-Mtech dual degree, MS (Research), Joint MSc-PhD, and MSc-PhD dual degree programs.

For the academic session 2025-26, the exam will be held in computer-based format in two shifts. The admission process consists of four rounds with extra rounds if vacancies persist. Through this process, candidates are evaluated on seven papers including Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Geology, and Mathematical Statistics.

Candidates who secure marks greater than or equal to the cut-off marks become eligible for admission to the master’s courses.

This year IIT Delhi will be the organizing institute of the JAM 2025 examination. The JAM has been conducted by IITs since 2004-05 and provides a platform for admission to a large number of postgraduate programs in IITs, IISc, IISERs, and NITs.

The test paper in JAM 2024 comprised 60 mandatory questions of a mix of multiple choice questions (MCQs), multiple select questions (MSQs), and numerical answer type (NAT) questions. The exam duration is 180 minutes and the mode of language is English only.

Candidates who have passed an undergraduate degree or currently studying in their final year of undergraduate programme are eligible to appear for the JAM 2025. For detailed eligibility regarding education qualifications, candidates can go through the official notification on the IIT Delhi’s JAM portal.

Once the result is announced candidates will have to accept the offer letter to freeze the seat for admission or may opt for the reject and quit option.

The JAM 2024 was conducted by IIT Madras and till now the admission lists for all four rounds have been released by the institution. The offer letters will be available on the portal by July 12, 2024.
