C3iHub, the Cybersecurity Technology Innovation Hub at IIT Kanpur, has extended the registration deadline for its highly anticipated Global Cybersecurity Hackathon, ‘Hack IITK 2024.’ Originally set to close on January 9, 2025, registrations will now remain open until January 17, 2025. The extension comes in response to the overwhelming enthusiasm and aims to provide an opportunity for more participants to be part of this prestigious event.
Conceptualized by C3iHub and powered by Techkriti, this flagship event aims to bring together innovators, students, and startups to address real-world cybersecurity challenges through competition and innovation. Esteemed partners, including Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL), Saptang Labs, NTT DATA, SecureDApps, cloud partner Amazon Web Services (AWS), and platform partners Hack2Skill and Prutor, are joining forces to ensure Hack IITK 2024 offers a world-class competitive experience.

The flagship hackathon features two distinct tracks designed to cater to different participants. The Solution Track is exclusively for undergraduate and postgraduate students, focusing on critical areas such as IT Security, Cyber Crime, and Web3 Security. The Startup Track is tailored for startups and covers a wide range of cybersecurity topics, including IT Security, Web3.0 Security, Cyber Crime, Security of AI/ML, Automotive Security, Mobile Security, and Privileged Access Management (PAM). These tracks aim to provide participants with an opportunity to explore and innovate in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity. The event has already attracted over 7,000 registrations in the Solution Track and more than 25 innovative startup ideas in the Startup Track.

In addition to the extended registration window, C3iHub is launching a webinar series featuring leading academic and industry experts. These webinars are designed to offer expert guidance, invaluable insights, and inspiration. The first webinar in the series will be held on January 12, 2025, focusing on key aspects of cybersecurity to equip participants with the tools to tackle pressing cybersecurity challenges.
The hackathon will include two qualification rounds. The first qualification round is scheduled for January 12, 2025, and the second will take place on January 18, 2025, to provide more participants an opportunity to compete.
With this announcement, Hack IITK 2024 offers prize money worth over ₹30 lakhs, including ₹5 lakhs in cash prizes and AWS Cloud Credits for winners. C3iHub invites students, professionals, and startups from around the globe to register for Hack IITK 2024 and contribute to shaping the future of cybersecurity innovation.
