The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has released the NEET PG 2025 result on August 19, 2025, with scores and ranks obtained by the candidates. The NEET PG 2025 exam was conducted in a single shift following the direction of the Supreme Court’s judgment.

The cut-off for various categories for admission to MD/MS/DNB/DrNB is as follows:

Category  Minimum Qualifying/Eligibility Criteria      Cut-Off Scores (Out of 800)

General/EWS 50th percentile 276
General PwBD 45th percentile 255
SC/ST/OBC (Including PwBD of SC/ST/OBC) 40th percentile 235

Now, after the result has been announced, many candidates are reportedly complaining about the discrepancies in their results, ranging from 50-200. Candidates have raised issues about the scores secured in the results by calling them mathematically impossible following the +4/-1 marking scheme.

There are reports of technical glitches, wrong answer mapping, or systematic evaluation errors at NBE.

Meanwhile NBE has notified to publish the NEET PG 2025 answer key with question ID Numbers, correct answer key and responses marked which will be displayed as per Master set of Question Paper used for NEET PG 2025. As per the examination body, the sequence of questions asked within a section are shuffled for different candidates and the order of four distractors of a question are also shuffled for different candidates appearing in NEET PG 2025.

However, candidates are supporting to release detailed question, detailed answer and its respective response instead of question id and their responses only as the shuffling of question had automatically shuffled the answer and probably giving rise to miscalculation of total score.

Candidates are demanding transparency and considering the technical glitches observed during the examination and efficiency of the IT company in holding exams of such a large scale which may influence the scores and results.
