NTA Releases JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Admit Card

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit cards for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2024 Session 2 (April 2024) scheduled to be held on 4, 5, and 6 April, 2024. Hall tickets are available on the NTA’s official website – jeemain.nta.ac.in and candidates can download it using their application number and date of birth.

However, the testing agency released admit cards only for 3 dates (4, 5, and 6 April ), and for the rest of the examination dates hall tickets will be released in the coming days.

Mentioning that the candidates will appear for Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech) on the given dates in two different shifts – shift 1 from 9 AM to 12noon and shift 2 from 3 PM to 6 PM.


Notably, NTA has already intimated the date (s) and examination city slips to all eligible candidates for Paper 1 on March 27, 2024.

NTA has also issued some instructions for the candidates while downloading the admit cards. Candidates are advised to check the barcode availability on the admit card and to carefully read the subject-specific instructions. Furthermore, candidates have been asked to check the official websites of NTA for the latest updates.

Moreover, Paper 2 (Paper 2A (B.Arch), Paper 2B, (B. Planning), and Paper 2A & 2B (B.Arch & B. Planning) is scheduled to be held on April 12, 2024. The exam city slips and admit cards for paper 2 will also be notified by the testing agency in a few days. NTA is going to conduct the JEE main-2024 session 2 exams in various cities and 22 centers outside India.

Two Sessions and JEE Advanced

JEE Main 2024 exam is being conducted in two different sessions. During the application process, candidates had the option to apply for a single session or both sessions. The 2 opportunities allow candidates to improve their scores in the examination if they could not perform well in the first session. The two-session arrangement reduces the chances of dropping and saving an entire year.

Moreover, if the candidate appears in both sessions then his or her best NTA score will be considered to prepare the ranking.

Notably, those who qualify at this stage will be eligible to appear in the next level of JEE Advanced. As per the information, the online registration for the next round will be done from April 21 till April 30 and the JEE Advanced 2024 is expected to be scheduled on May 26, 2024.

This year almost 1221624 candidates, including 400937 females and nine third-gender persons, registered for JEE (Main) Session 1. Out of the total registered candidates, 1170048 or 95.8 percent of students appeared in the exam which was the highest number since NTA started conducting the examination.
