Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh: Chaos erupted at a Staff Selection Commission (SSC) SSC GD exam centre in Prayagraj after candidates exceeded the venue’s capacity during the second shift, triggering massive mismanagement and unrest among students.
A large number of candidates reached the exam centre, exceeding the hall’s capacity, leading to overcrowding. The situation quickly escalated into unrest among students, with confusion and disruption reported at the centre.

Police and local authorities later reached the spot to bring the situation under control and manage the crowd.
Notably, the SSC cancelled the SSC GD Constable Examination across several Uttar Pradesh centers, including venues in Kanpur and Lucknow, due to severe overcrowding, mismanagement, and technical server issues. Affected candidates are being notified and will be rescheduled for forthcoming examination dates.
