Uttar Pradesh Education Department To Publish Question Banks For Class 9 And 10

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department prepared mathematics and science question banks for class 9 and 10 students. The question bank has been prepared by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in coordination with the State Institute of Science Education (SISE) and subject experts from universities, colleges, and secondary schools. These question banks are based on the NCERT syllabus.

As per the officials, the question bank prepared for nearly 25 lakh students will help in understanding the pattern of engineering and medical entrance examinations at an early stage of education and will help in reducing their dependency on costly coaching. The chapters included in the question banks comprises various multiple choice, very short, short, and long answer questions of cognitive, application, perceptual, and skill types.

The question banks aim to help students provide practice opportunities to achieve desired outcomes and clarify the concepts among students.

According to the science coordinator of SISE-Prayagraj, for classes 9 and 10, a total of 12 and 13 chapters are added to the question banks respectively. Each chapter contains 70 questions of various kinds. So, in total, class 9 question bank comprises 840 questions, and the class 10 contains 910 questions. These questions are based on the vital concepts of science in order to make students understand and practice them automatically.

The Mathematics coordinator informed about 12 and 14 chapters in the class 9 and 10 question bank respectively. These have a compilation of nearly 912 questions for class 9 and 1,064 questions for class 10. At the beginning of each type of question, sample questions have also been provided to enhance student’s interest.

The question banks prepared by the government agency will be available for students in the market, till now only question banks prepared and published by the private players are available for the students.
