National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE)

On October 20, 2022, the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF-FS) was released. This is India’s first-ever integrated curriculum framework for kids aged three to eight. It is a direct result of the “curricular and pedagogical” structure (5+3+3+4) for school education that NEP 2020 recommends and incorporates early childhood care and education for all children aged 3 to 8. NCERT established the NCF for Foundational Stage (NCFFS) after a protracted consultation process involving numerous institutions and organizations, as well as States and UTs down to the local level.
