'Easy And Manageable': CBSE Class 12 Geography Paper Analysis
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) holds the Class 12 Geography exam today from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. As per the students’ reaction, the geography exam was largely easy and directly based on the NCERT textbooks.
Candidates said that all five sections were manageable with only a few questions requiring analytical thinking. Many describe the exam as balanced, well-structured and time-friendly.
Students will have access to unofficial answer keys and question papers with solutions to evaluate their performance.
The exam carries 30 questions of 70 marks with 17 MCQs, 2 Source-Based Questions (3 marks each), 4 Short Answer Type questions (3 marks each), 5 Long Answer Type questions (5 Marks each), and 2 map-based questions (5 marks each).
Notably, to qualify for the CBSE Board exams 2026, students need to secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject, covering theory, practical, and internal assessments. Students must pass both the theory and practical components individually.
