
Uttarakhand To Add 'Operation Sindoor' To Madrasa Curriculum
The Uttarakhand government had decided to include chapter ‘Operation Sindoor’ in the curriculum of all recognised madrasas in the state. The State Madrasa Board Chairman, Mufti Shamoon Qasmi, applauded the initiative to include information about the ‘Operation Sindoor’ in the Madrasa education system in Uttarakhand.
While talking to IANS, Mufti Qasmi mentioned the inclusion of a chapter on Operation Sindoor in the Madrasa books. Emphasizing the bravery and valour of the Indian Army, the Uttarakhand Madrasa Board Chairman highlighted the importance of teaching about the military action against terrorist attack in Pahalgam to Madrasa students.

Mufti Qasmi also said, that the board is taking decision to talk about the ‘Operation Sindoor’ in morning assembly to showcase the importance of India’s military action against Pakistan. While, hailing the implementation of NCERT books into the Madrasa curriculum, the state board chairman, said that it has helped Muslim students to connect with the mainstream and improving their performance in education.

India launched Operation Sindoor against a target terrorist hideout in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir on May 7, 2025, in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, in which 26 tourists lost their lives.
Moreover, the Rajasthan has become the first state after deciding to include a chapter on Operation Sindoor in its syllabus. Reportedly, the chapter will be included after departmental committee discussions. Also, there are reports, on deciding inclusion of section on Operation Sindoor in NCERT books. However, no concrete information is available on this front.
