Commenting on the Lok Sabha elections, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav dropped a bombshell on BJP’s candidate selection.
The former chief minister who has already announced 16 candidates said, according to sources, BJP will be replacing all sitting MPs except one.
Akhilesh Yadav citing sources said he has learned that the BJP is going to cancel the tickets of all its present MPs for the upcoming general election in Uttar Pradesh except one. It is also heard that, Mr Akhilesh says, the BJP is also changing the present MPs seats or looking for an additional safe seat in some remote state.
The SP chief attributed the BJP”s purported plan to the current MP”s performance in their constituencies during their tenure. “BJP is in no position to announce the names of its candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in Uttar Pradesh because their current MPs have done nothing except fill their pockets,” he said
The former chief minister, referring to the increased public anger against the BJP and its MPs in the state said that in these adverse circumstances, no one wants to fight to lose as the search for new candidates is going on in BJP. This is the reason why not even a single candidate name is coming forward from the BJP for the Lok Sabha election.
He further noted that the BJP MPs never cared for their constituencies and nor served the people and warned that the people this time will not give BJP entry into their parliamentary constituencies. He also said that the the people of Uttar Pradesh will not elect mere talkers, but those who do true and good work “Now the unity of PDA has awakened! BJP ran away from UP!,” the SP chief added, referring to the unity born out of shared consciousness against the exploitation of the backward and minority people.
