BJP leader and civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Thursday that he is confident that BJP will form the government in Madhya Pradesh with majority. Talking to reporters, Mr Scindia said, “I have full faith that BJP will form a government here with majority.” He then added that BJP does not believe in only making announcements, they believe in inauguration.

When reporters asked the minister whether he is going to be the chief ministerial face, he replied that “to not confine Scindia family in the race for chair”. Adding further, he said: “The Scindia family works day and night with a passion for development, progress and public service. Due to the work done under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the work done by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the state for the last 18 years, Madhya Pradesh has come out of Bimaru Rajya (Sick state). It has marked a place into the category of an unmatched state,” NDTV quoted him as saying.

Mr Scindia took an aim at Congress and said that BJP was in the heart of the people while former is involved in comparing themselves to movie characters. “The BJP is a party for the development of the people. Neither do we want to become actors, nor do we want to stand with any actress. We want to reside in the hearts of the people,” NDTV quotes as Mr Scindia is saying.

Madhya Pradesh will go to booths on November 17, and the counting of the votes will take place on December 3. Currently, Madhya Pradesh is led by Shivraj Singh Chauhan-led BJP government.
