Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini is leading from politically-charged Ladwa constituency. The Congress’ incumbent MLA Mewa Singh had been fielded against the chief ministerial candidate. The AAP fielded Joga Singh, INLD’s Sher Singh Barshami, and JJP’s advocate Vinod Sharma.
The constituency has never been consistent in its poll result, opting different parties and candidates. After its formation, Ladwa first elected Sher Singh Barshami from INLD. In the 2014 assembly elections, the BJP’s Pawan Saini emerged victorious with a thin majority. Notably, in 2019, Congress’s Mewa Singh by a margin of 12,637 votes, showcasing the unpredictable and diverse voter choices.
