As per the the latest election commission data, Congress candidate Devender Hans is leading Gohla constituency, pushing behind the BJP’s Kulwant Ram Bazigar by around 20481, presumably assuring his victory from the seat. JJP’s Ishwar Singh is the incumbent MLA from Gohla who clinched the victory in 2019, securing 31,944 votes.
BJP’s Devender Hans had contested the 2019 assembly elections as independent and came third behind the Congress and the JJP back then.
As counting for the 90-member assembly seats ended, the BJP has emerged victorious, securing 48 constituencies. The party managed to accumulate the seats more than it won during the 2019 assembly elections. The result, however kindled controversy, with Congress alleging EVM manipulation, and unfair practices. The exit polls had suggested a comfortable victory for the Congress party, given the prevalent issues including the farmers’ protest, youth’ fury over Agnipath, wrestlers issues and unemployment.
The Congress has refused to accept the result, alleged EVM issues and other man practices.
