"Shared Their Struggle In US": Rahul Gandhi On Decade-Long "BJP Injustice" To Haryana Youth

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today attacked the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in Haryana for the “disease of unemployment” during a decade-long saffron rule in the state.

Stating that the BJP has done ‘grave injustice to the youth of the entire country, including Haryana, by snatching employment opportunities from them, the Leader of Opposition said during his recent US visit that he met many struggling youth from Haryana who are spending their time in a foreign country, away from their families and home due to the lack of opportunities in the home state, which is going to polls next month.

“When I met their family on returning to India, their eyes were filled with pain,” said the Congress leader, noting that lakhs of families are paying the price of the ‘disease of unemployment’ spread by the BJP by being away from their loved ones.

In an X post today, the Rae Bareilly MP said broken trust and a defeated mind compelled the youth to undertake a ‘journey of torture,’ adding that if these migratory birds, separated from their homes, get a chance to earn their livelihood in their own country, among their loved ones, then they will never leave their homeland.

“Our resolve is that as soon as the Congress government is formed, we will create such a system in Haryana in which the youth will not have to go away from their loved ones to fulfil their dreams,” promised the Congress leader to the poll-bound Haryana. The state is going to poll on October 5.

All major parties, including the BJP, Congress, JJP, and AAP, have announced their candidates, and the Congress party, encouraged by its performance in the recently held Lok Sabha election, hopes to return to power after ten years. The party is banking on the anti-incumbency towards the incumbent government.
