Ram Kumar Kashyap, the BJP candidate, secured victory in Haryana’s Indri Assembly constituency with 80,465 votes. In their second tussle against each other, he defeated Congress candidate Rakesh Kamboj with a margin of 15,149 votes. Kamboj secured 65,316 votes.
The Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Surendra Udana secured 7,498 votes, coming in third.
In the 2019 state Assembly elections, Kashyap won the seat defeating Kamboj by a margin of 7,431 (05.21 percent) of the total votes cast for the seat.
In the 2014 state assembly elections, BJP’s Karan Dev Kamboj won the seat defeating INLD candidate Usha Kashyap by a margin of 23,875 (16.99 percent) of the total votes cast for the seat.
A total of six candidates were in the electoral race vying for the Indri Assembly seat including Hawa Singh (AAP), Kuldeep Singh Mandhan (JJP), Sanjay Kumar (BSCP), and Surender Udana (BSP).
