J&K Assembly Election Results 2024: AAP Candidate Mehraj Malik Wins Doda Constituency

In Doda Constituency, Gajay Singh Rana of Bharatiya Janata Party is was leading ahead of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Mehraj Malik initially. However, the AAP candidate secured victory with 4538 votes in the Doda constituency. Doda Assembly constituency went for elections on September 18. 2024 under the phase 1.

According to the current Election Commission numbers JKN is leading in Jammu and Kashmir with a total of 43 seats, whereas BJP is in second position with 28 seats, INC, IND, and JKPDP stand with 8, 6, and 2 seats respectively.

Shakti Raj of BJP won the Doda constituency in the 2014 assembly elections with a total of 24572 votes whereas INC candidate Abdul Majid Wani remained at second place. The total vote count in 2014 was 67084. In the 2008 assembly elections, INC candidate Abdul Majid Wani won the election in the Doda constituency.

The assembly elections in the Valley of Jammu and Kashmir registered an overall turnout of 63.88% with 64.88% male voters and 63.04% of female voters.
