Kerala Assembly Election 2026 : Manalur Prof. C. Ravindranath Wins By Unpredictable Margin Of 126 Votes In Finish
CPI(M) candidate Prof. C. Ravindranath has secured victory from the Manalur Assembly Constituency in the Kerala Assembly Election 2026, as per the Election Commission.
Representing the Left Democratic Front (LDF), Ravindranath won with 65,337 votes, defeating UDF candidate T.N. Prathapan of the Indian National Congress by an extremely narrow margin of just 126 votes. Prathapan finished a close second with 65,211 votes, making this one of the closest contests in the state.
BJP candidate Adv. K.K. Aneeshkumar secured 38,125 votes and ended in third position, trailing behind the two leading candidates by a considerable margin.
The result highlights an intense and highly competitive between the LDF and the UDF in Manalur, with the lead changing hands multiple times during the counting process. The margin indicates how evenly divided voter support was in the constituency.
The final outcome was determined in the last rounds of counting, keeping both camps on edge until the very end. Such a narrow victory margin makes Manalur one of the most closely watched and dramatic constituencies in the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections.
The counting of votes was conducted under strict security arrangements, and the result underscores the importance of every single vote in a tightly contested electoral.
