Kerala Assembly Election 2026 Ollur K. Rajan wins by over 8,800 votes in clear LDF victory

CPI candidate and a minister from Pinarayi Vijayan government K Rajan has secured a decisive victory from the Ollur Assembly Constituency in the Kerala Assembly Election 2026, as per the Election Commission.

Representing the Left Democratic Front (LDF), Rajan won with 69,703 votes and defeated his nearest rival Adv. Shaji J. Kodankandath of the Indian National Congress by a margin of 8,884 votes. Kodankandath finished second with 60,819 votes.

BJP candidate Bijoy Thomas ended in third position with 19,737 votes, trailing significantly behind the leading candidates.

The result reflects a strong performance by the LDF in Ollur, with K. Rajan maintaining a steady lead throughout the counting process. The margin indicates clear voter support for the CPI in the constituency.

The counting of votes was conducted under tight security arrangements, and the outcome adds to the LDF’s overall performance across several constituencies in the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections.
