Kerala Election Results 2026: P. Mammikutty Wins Seat By Over 16,000 Votes As LDF Strengthens Position
Kerala: CPI(M) candidate P Mammikutty has secured a decisive victory from Shornur constituency in the Kerala Assembly Election 2026, as per the Election Commission.
Representing the Communist Party of India (Marxist), Mammikutty won by a margin of 16,517 votes, reflecting a strong performance for the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in the constituency.
His closest rival, P. Harigovindan of the Indian National Congress, trailed with 54,066 votes, while BJP candidate Adv. Sanku T. Das finished third with 33,264 votes.
The result highlights a solid showing by the LDF in this constituency, adding to the alliance’s performance across the state. The victory is seen as an important gain, reinforcing CPI(M)’s presence in the region.
