Senior Congress leader Rajan J. Pallan has secured a decisive victory from the Thrissur Assembly Constituency seat in the Kerala Assembly Election 2026, as per the Election Commission data.

Representing the Indian National Congress, Pallan won by a massive margin of 26,803 votes, underlining a strong performance for the United Democratic Front (UDF) in the constituency.

His closest rival, Alankode Leelakrishnan of the Communist Party of India (CPI), trailed with 33,487 votes, while BJP candidate Padmaja Venugopal finished third with 28,662 votes.

As per the latest trends, the result in Thrissur reflects the broader momentum building in favour of the Congress-led UDF across Kerala. The victory is seen as a significant gain for the alliance in a key constituency.

The counting of votes, which began earlier in the day, was conducted under tight security arrangements. With the UDF showing strong performance in multiple constituencies, the Thrissur result adds to indications of a shifting political landscape in the state.
