If the BJP retains power and Shivraj Chauhan is selected as the Chief Minister by party members, it would be his fourth consecutive term in the Chief Minister”s position. As the party rallies with a landslide victory, the celebration has begun at the party”s headquarters in the state capital, Bhopal.

BSP has won two seats, and Bharat Adivasi Party is leading in one seat.

Elections for the 230-seat Madhya Pradesh Assembly were held on November 17 and witnessed a 77.82% voter turnout. The BJP candidate, Narendra Singh Tomar, attributed the result to the influence of PM Narendra Modi and the policies and programs of the central and state governments. Tomar is currently holding a significant lead over his rival candidate, Balveer Singh, in Dimani’s seat.
